Town of Coventry - PartÂtime. Starting salary $19.00 per hour, hours vary per week based on demand. No benefits. Provide comprehensive, efficient, transportation for the Town's elderly and/or disabled residents. This includes the daily scheduling of routes, preparation of necessary reports, driving a handicapped accessible van and/or bus up to 20 passengers. Plans and coordinates daily transportation routine schedule for approximate time of passenger pickup for scheduled activities at Senior Center, shopping trips, daily lunch program, medical appointments, etc. Routes change on a daily basis. Driver will also assist passengers on and off the bus, sometimes necessitating the carrying of packages and bundles for passengers. Responsible for safe operation of handicap accessible lift when necessary. Requires a Connecticut Commercial Driver's License.
